Katherine Davis is a Chicago-based business journalist with experience covering the wide-ranging American health care system, including everything from hospitals and insurance to Big Pharma and biotech startups.
She is currently a Biotech Deals Reporter for Axios, where she covers venture capital, private equity, M&A and IPO activity across the U.S. biotech and biopharma sectors.

Before Axios, Katherine was a reporter for Crain's Chicago Business, where she covered hospitals, pharmaceutical makers, insurance providers, public health, medical device companies and life sciences startups in the region.

Katherine graduated Cum Laude in 2015 from Columbia College Chicago with a B.A. in journalism and a minor in fashion business, and has since completed journalism fellowships and trainings at the Poynter Institute and the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY. Besides the aforementioned publications, Katherine's work has also appeared in Modern Healthcare, The Detroit News, Chicago Business Journal, Chicago Inno and Cardiovascular Business.
